Proverbs Chapter 8:17 says, ”I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” I’ve noticed something special that happens when I seek the Lord early. I hear His voice. The comforting, reassuring, and directive voice in His Word. I think it no mistake that Mary was rewarded with being the first person to witness the voice of the Lord from the tomb. She sought Him early. Sometimes I like to make excuses by telling myself that I’m just not a morning person or I don’t have enough time in the morning. I can take on an attitude that I’m just not made for the mornings. The Holy Spirit reminds me that I was not saved to stay the way I am, but to be more like Jesus. Our Lord would get up early to meet with the father. I encourage you to let the Holy Spirit give you a game plan, how to adjust your mornings so you be ready for battle.
